Aquafit Upright Float - item 9501.
This triangular shaped ring is made from polyester fabric and filled with polystyrene beads. The Upright Float fits under the armpits of a swimmer just like a swim ring. This pool float is easy to put on and take off with its velcro opening that allows for waist adjustment.

We have 3 sizes of Upright Floats, small, medium and large.

Sizing information:
Since the body is buoyant in the water, a person’s weight is not of major consideration. The Upright Float fits under the armpits of a swimmer just like a swim ring – so the important consideration is chest size.

The internal circumference of the 3 upright floats are as follows:
Small: 72cm
Medium: 89cm appropriate for adolescent to medium size adult)
Large: 102cm (larger adult around 100kg).
Use a soft tape measure to measure the chest circumference before selecting a size.

It is a very comfortable float for swimmers who have difficulty in holding their heads up for any period of time and have the need for extra support behind the head, neck and shoulders. The large pillow enables the swimmer to remain in an upright position in the water and maintain eye contact with friends. An immensely sociable float.

Offers stable support for trunk exercises. Provides under arm support as well as shoulder and neck support.

USE AS A BATHING AID
The Aquafit Upright Float can also be used as a support for bathing. It provides comfortable support for the trunk and head while the bather is seated in the bath. The soft fabric and polystyrene beads can be plumped around the body or secured around the body with the Velcro fastener.

The lovely Sharon has Syringomyelia and has had 4 spinal surgeries. She is strengthening her upper body to improve her ability to get out of bed, a chair and to perform activities of daily living.

She is working against the light resistance of Theraquatics Push Bells to develop her upper body, postural muscles, core abdominals and shoulder stabilises to support her when using her Canadian crutches.

This dense foam Push Bell has an adjustable strap to secure it to the hand during upper body exercises. The Push Bell floats on top of water but when submerged under water becomes resistive.

Aquafit Swim Ring - item 9396M.
This premium Swim Ring provides all round support and buoyancy for those swimmers with good trunk and head control.

Offers substantial underarm support for swimmers who wishes to engage in deep water exercises. Can also be worn by a swimmer who seeks a bit more confidence and security while in the water.

The Velcro tab makes it easy to put on and take off. If a swimmer requires additional support at the front of their body, position the Velcro tab behind the back. If a swimmer requires additional support and buoyancy at the back of their body, position the Velcro tab in front of their chest.

Due to Grants Cerebral Palsy and brain injury, he has a history of falls and the Aquafit Swim can assist and protect him if he falls in the water. Mikey has Cerebral Palsy and he often drinks the pool water, positioning the Velcro tab at the back stops him from drinking the water. Linda performs suspended exercises in deep water using the swim ring to develop her core strength, lower body strength, cardiovascular fitness and joint mobility.

The handsome Mikey is 10years old and has Cerebral Palsy. This high quality swim ring is made out of heavy duty vinyl that is latex free. The Swim Ring provides Mikey with stable under arm support in deep water.

Mikey is able to practice his reach and pull technique with his amazing learn to swim instructor Kim. Mikey is wearing Theraquatics Adjustable Weighted Hydro Cuffs [item 8007] to keep his body upright and to improve his lower body strength, body awareness and motor coordination. Ankle weights are useful in preventing the legs from floating while in the Swim Ring.

Without ankle weights, Mikey can enjoy floating in a horizontal body position. He has freedom to move and stretch out his legs. This body position challenges and develops his balance, core stability and postural muscles.

The inflatable Swim Ring has a non return safety valve.

The handsome Marc has CP and loves being in the wa

The handsome Marc has CP and loves being in the water. Previously his parents had to hold Marc which was very challenging. Now he can be well supported by this aquatic combination of pool floats.

Marc is sitting comfortably in the Aquafit Square Float with saddle seat (item 9396S) and his head is being supported by the Aquafit Upright Toggle Float (item 9591TS). Marc has the tendency to arch back and he requires additional head and neck support.

Mum and Dad don’t have to hold him anymore but just stand within arms reach to maximise safety. Marc has greater freedom to move and enjoy the benefits of water.
